Will the instructors pick me up from my home?

Yes, we offer free pick up from home, school, or work.
Are your instructors background checked?

Yes, each of our instructors are background checked as well as livescanned.
Can a parent come with me on my lesson?

We typically do not allow a passenger to come along on lessons in order to minimize distractions. If you need special arrangements please contact us to discuss options.

How far apart should I schedule my lessons?

1. If you are under 18 years old we recommend having your first lesson as soon as possible after receiving your permit so that your instructor can sign your permit which is what validates it.
2. We recommend having the second lesson 1 ½ - 2 months after the first lesson. This is so you have time to practice between lessons and the instructor can work on different skills.
3. The third lesson should be within 2-3 weeks of taking your behind the wheel test at the DMV. This is so we can help with DMV test preparation.
Are we covered by insurance while on lessons?

Yes, each student is completely covered by our insurance during lessons.
How much behind the wheel training is required to get my license?

The DMV requires each student to complete six hours of behind-the-wheel training with a certified instructor. This training is divided into three 2-hour lessons. Students must also complete 50 hours of supervised driving with a parent or adult 25 years of age or older with a valid California driver's license. Ten of these hours must be at night. Students under the age of 17 1/2 years old may not drive with a parent until they have completed their first behind-the-wheel lesson with an instructor.
How many hours of training are parents/guardians responsible for?

The DMV requires that students complete at least 50 hours of driving with a parent or adult over the age of 25 who has a valid California driver license. At least 10 hours must be done at night. The DMV requires the parent or guardian to sign the second page of the permit, verifying that the recommended 50 hours have been completed by the student.
